About Picturelife:
We're just a few people in northern Minnesota who like to record and edit things. Since we like it so much, we decided to do it for other people. Making money doing what we like makes us probably the most friendly, flexible and affordable semi-professional video and audio recording people available. Very good for events important to your family or friends that may not otherwise be recorded. I mean sure, you could get your friend's brother to record it for you, but how's his camera-work? He works at Lucasfilm? Fine... I'm not talking to you specifically .
We started recording in 2004 and have gotten a lot of positive feedback for our work. All of us have had some kind of formal training and at least 2 years of experience in either video or audio production. We are very mindful of the fact that these are your projects and important memories, which keeps us dedicated to making something we can all really be proud of. Also, this means if you want to be part of the editing or label design, or do anything out of the "ordinary", it's completely up to you.

What we do :
Recording - We do video and audio recording and editing for small concerts, theatre productions, speeches, celebrations, etcetera. We record with 1 - 3 cameras and the audio recording depends a lot on the event.
Editing - We can add titles, credits, DVD menus, and edit together 2 - 3 camera angles. Subtitles are possible, although rarely needed :) You are invited to be part of the editing process if you want to have artistic input or tell us where you want to put titles, etc. - although since it can be a long, tedious and sometimes boring process most people choose to let us do the monkeywork :)
Reproduction - We can make CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes of your performances including labels and DVD menus. While the DVDs and CDs will work for most people, they are not as universal as the ones you would buy at the store (usually those have to be purchased by the thousands), so a very small number of DVD players and CD players will not play them. If that is the case for someone, we will offer the options of a refund or a VHS or cassette tape copy.
Digital copies etc. - We can also make MP3s, internet videos, pretty much anything you want out of the finished product. We keep the originals around (unless you request them) in case you want to make something else out of it in the future.
Sound Equipment - We have a sound system suitable for small dances (up to 100 people), celebrations, receptions (up to 200 people), etc. that can be rented complete with a "sound guy" to set it up and run it for $70 + $30/hour.
We can also do videos of your 3-year-old on a playground to send to your sickly grandmother, or working-class revolution announcements to the world, or basically anything worth recording.
